A systemic perception in which a short term data communication occurs among vehicles and road networks, serves as a base of creating applications from various fields. On one hand applications such as drivers' support systems (reviewed on a different project), and on the other applications that are intended to assist traffic management and inspection (traffic count, events spotting) as well as applications intended to improve the traffic management in intersections, such as: prioritizing public transportation in traffic lights and/or opening the traffic for security and rescue vehicles. Another group of applications are enforcement ones, such as: enforcing the traffic on public transportation lanes, driving on the margins, etc.
The administration's goal is starting joined activities to develop a support system suite for drivers. The joined administration will act to identify parties of interest, evaluate the needs, form a system perception and define the demands. The administration will act to form the required agreements and understandings for the use of a coordinated multi-years project in which the actions of industry factors will be defined, research factors activities, required infrastructures (experiment labs and integrations) and activates led by the government.
