The “Intelligent Vehicle” work group includes both companies and entrepreneurs that work on the development of systems integrating vehicles to existing road systems (such a traffic lights and traffic control centers), and integrating vehicles to systems in other vehicles (such as driver assistance systems). The aim of this activity is to make driving as safer and efficient as possible (cost, time, and pollution). The work group meets in order for members to learn about existing developments in these fields and in order to foster common grounds on which standard recommendations can be built on.
