ITS Israel is a non-profit organization with the aim to promote the development and implementation of intelligent transportation systems in Israel in favor of a more efficient transportation system, improving road safety, and supporting Israeli business in this field. ITS Israel is organizing professional congresses, manages work groups, assists in kick starting projects, helps in the development of a national ITS architecture and in an ITS standardization process, and manages a data base of national and international ITS related organizations. The activities of ITS Israel include cooperation activities with the local ITS community in Israel, transportation and traffic safety organizations, The Standards Institution of Israel, the Transportation Ministry, and The National Road Safety Authority. Other ITS Israel members include some of Israel’s largest transportation companies, local municipalities, traffic planners and engineers, academic institutions, as well as high-tech companies and start-ups.
